It's getting close to summer time and spring break!! Crank out some of your favorite tunes on the beach, on the boat, or maybe just in your back yard! $450.00 for a 40qt. wheeled radio that includes CD, Am/Fm radio, and most importantly Aux input for iPhone/iPod, or any audio player with a headphone jack! Your radio comes with a power supply that has a 12 volt AC port so you can charge your phone or mobile device with a car charger (not included). The build also includes a 25 ft. extension cord so whenever your radio does die, charging it is just an outlet away! LED indicators are located on the power supply to let you know when your battery is need of a charge. Two more indicators let you know that your battery is in fact charging and when it is fully charged. You can also plug the power supply into an outlet while the radio is playing to increase playing time.... no unfortunately the radio can't run off of a 120 volt outlet, but it can charge the battery while you are jamming out!
BATTERY LIFE: the batter life of the radio is determined by the level of volume in which you are playing your radio. The higher the volume, the quicker the battery will run out and vice versa. Typical batter life usually will last at least 5-7 hours on half volume. I haven't tested the new equipment I am using so that is just a rough estimate.
Ice Chest usage: These radio's are NOT intended for the use of a cooler/ice chest!!!!! The 50 qt. radio that I normally build can in fact be used as a dry box storage, which is pretty handy if you are at the beach, river, floating the river!, or on a boat, etc.
I DO HAVE A SOLUTION TO HAVING BOTH COOLER AND RADIO IN ONE UNIT!!!!!!
