Fulcrum We make software. For manufacturers. Really awesome software. That works well, and is pretty. Why? Live data entry means live reporting means live decisions.

Live Production Tracking: Paper gets lost, takes a long time to get entered, gets destroyed, and is not the interface of the future. Turn management into a collaborative experience, saving time and money before mistakes are made, managing with more than just a rear view mirror. Design & Engineering: Taking drawings and making them into instructions, routings, bills of material, and tolerances is a

n incredibly important, creative, challenging, and fun job. Putting them into a software system usually isn't. Fulcrum feels like an extension of your brain, removing the friction between you and your software so you can focus on what you do best: using your considerable brainpower to come up with clever ideas for doing things better. Purchasing: Fulcrum uses advanced planning tools to forecast demand and visualize capacity to do the heavy lifting, getting you as close to just-in-time inventory while protecting you from being blindsided by otherwise hidden peaks and valleys. Security: Built with the highest security standards in place, with support from the leading cloud infrastructure providers, Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure. The data is secure from your shop to our servers. You own your data: we protect it, back it up and host it on the shoulders of giants.

Before Fulcrum, Rock Run Industries handwrote 1,500 to 1,800 job travelers every week. Finding out where an order stood meant walking the floor or calling around.

Sales Manager John Schlabach didn't take the decision lightly. He looked at 12 different systems, brought the top 3 onto the shop floor, and calculated exactly what a new process would cost employees in time before asking them to adopt it.

Since April 2024, Rock Run has scaled from $36M to a projected $70M+ in revenue, without adding proportional overhead. Real-time job tracking, standardized labels, and tighter revision control did a lot of that work.

Nobody wakes up excited to switch manufacturing software. It's disruptive, it takes time, and change on a shop floor is never simple. So a lot of shops stay on systems they've outgrown, not because they're satisfied, just because switching feels harder than enduring.

We talked to 450+ shops that made the switch anyway, off JobBOSS, Global Shop, and Epicor. The pattern was clear: the cost of staying is spread across every single day, while the cost of switching is concentrated into a few months. Once shops saw the full picture, most said the same thing: they wish they'd done it sooner.

We wrote up what we learned, including a real week-by-week look at what the switch involves. Does this sound familiar?

Many shops stay on JobBOSS, Global Shop, or Epicor out of inertia. Here's why the cost of staying is higher than the cost of switching.

Fulcrum founder and CEO Sunny Han joined Precision Metalforming Association's Destiny of Manufacturing podcast this month to talk about the bottleneck in fabrication and CNC shops, and it's not the machines.

Hours are disappearing in quoting, scheduling, capacity decisions, and engineering backlog. AI is starting to handle this coordination overhead so your best people can stay on the work that actually requires them.

If AI feels urgent but you're not sure what to actually do with it, you're not behind. Our CTO Benjamin Sheats wrote about this in The Fabricator. If you're a production manager facing the "adapt or die" drumbeat and want a straight answer on where to begin, this is for you.

Even with clean data, documented processes, and specific goals, manufacturers may discover that successful AI adoption requires more than a chatbot and a good idea.

Last week we hosted Connect 2026, our third annual user conference. 120 job shop owners, operators, and production managers from across the country came together to info-share and build.

Our CEO & Founder Sunny Han put it best: "By the end of the week, over 70% of the customers in attendance had participated in vibe coding something into existence that was below the product threshold but still incredibly useful to them. We're working hard to make that number 100% of our customers."

We laid out a network vision across both days on how to make your shop's capacity, accuracy, and expertise visible and legible to the OEMs and large vendors who want to find manufacturers like you.

Full recap at the link. Save the date for Connect 2027: April 21–23.

Fulcrum CEO & Founder Sunny Han and the team gathered job shop owners for Connect 2026, the company's third annual user conference. Learn about what they vibe coded together and how shops built tools quickly they can use daily.
