Ok, For all you people that have missing/stolen phones. You can recover them and its about time to put the Black-market for lost/stolen phones out of business.

Each phone with a SIM card has an IMEI Number (International Mobile Station Equipment Identity) unique to that SIM and Phone.
Look on the back of your phone with cover off, or on the phone box or press "* #06 #" into you phone to find the unique number of your phone.
Keep it in safe place with proof of purchase such as receipt and phone box.

If missing report to police, with the IMEI number and proof of purchase and they with warrant will check with all the mobile phone telecommunication providers who if one is being used will come back to the police with the details of who is using the phone (if registered SIM card), the location and the call/text log.
They track it down and recover your phone.
Hence dont take or pay for phones that are not from an appropriate seller otherwise you may end up on losing the phone. Also dont worry about losing your phone, just worry about the headache of recovering it.
