Greetings everyone. Just a casual post today. Here is some of the beauty that I have come to learn that Focal brings to the table. Their sound matches their look. From the warm sounding Flax speakers (Flax plant fiber sandwitched between bededglass. To the Tights and crist Utopia Tweeters (pure Beryllium metal.) They just bring more than music to the table. It's an experiance that I have a hard time explaining because its more of a new emotional connection to my favorite songs.

A lot of people see the finished installs, the clean wiring, the big audio builds, the happy customers, and the cool videos.

What people don’t always see is the pressure and responsibility that comes with this industry — especially as a one-man shop.

I recently had a customer bring me a Mercedes E350 for a CarPlay install and remote starter. The CarPlay portion went perfectly and functions exactly as intended. Unfortunately, during the remote starter installation, I made a mistake that damaged the vehicle’s ignition unit and caused the car to malfunction and not start properly.

This is currently being taken care of, and the customer’s vehicle WILL be returned in proper working condition exactly the way it came into my shop.

Right now the biggest delay has honestly been dealing with parts sourcing and an eBay seller who has not shipped the replacement unit the way requested. Situations like this are incredibly stressful for both the customer and for me personally, especially trying to manage it while also running the rest of the business by myself.

But I wanted to make this post because transparency matters to me.

No shop is perfect. No technician is perfect. Mistakes can happen in any industry, especially when dealing with modern vehicles, electronics, programming, and custom integration work.

What defines a shop is not whether something ever goes wrong.

What defines a shop is how they handle it when it does.

The customer deserves to be fully informed every step of the process. They deserve honesty. They deserve updates. And they deserve to know the shop is going to stand behind the work and make things right no matter how difficult or expensive it becomes.

That’s something I take very seriously here at Sound Shift Audio.

This situation has been difficult for everybody involved, and the customer has every right to be upset. But at the end of the day, following through and taking responsibility is the most important thing I can do as a business owner.

I appreciate everyone who continues to support a small one-man shop that tries its absolute best every single day.

Going LIVE on TikTok during shop hours at Sound Shift Audio.

This is something I’ve wanted to do for a while because there are a lot of people out there who either don’t have a trusted shop near them, are confused by all the information online, or just want honest advice before spending money on their vehicle.

While live, I’ll be offering:
• Free quote discussions
• Car audio and remote starter advice
• Radio replacement guidance
• OEM integration explanations
• Product recommendations
• Live install walkthroughs when possible
• General learning and Q&A

A lot of people think installing a radio or remote starter is just “plug it in and go,” until they realize every plug, module, steering wheel control, amplifier, backup camera, and factory feature has to communicate correctly. The goal of these lives is to help educate people and show what really goes into modern installs.

Whether you’re local to Connecticut or from somewhere across the country, feel free to stop in, ask questions, learn something, or just hang out.
