As a Project Coordinator at HotelPORT, Anna Pushchik has built her career (and reputation) around one simple word: “Yes.”

I’ve never really thought of myself as a “sales guy.” Relationship-builder? Absolutely. Connector? For sure. Cold caller? Only when the AC's broken (I live in South Florida. 🥵 This is an emergency situation).

That is, until you’re the CEO of a growing, bootstrapped startup like HotelPORT®.

When you’re building something like PropertyVIEW® from the ground up, sales isn’t optional. It’s survival. So I recently took the plunge and deployed an inside sales team to start prospecting hotels with outbound calls.

Let’s just say… we stumbled out of the gate.

Picture this: our autodialer called some of my own contacts on repeat. Multiple voicemails. Too many messages. One-way ticket to Mor-ti-fied-ville! 🫣

Oops. Our bad!

But hey, as the saying goes: you can’t make an omelet without breaking a few eggs. We’re learning. We’re optimizing. And more importantly, we’re making sure the hotels, restaurants, and spas who actually need us know that we exist and that we’re here to help.

I’m still not calling myself a “sales guy,” but I’m getting more comfortable wearing the hat. Because when you believe in what you’ve built, you owe it to the world and to your team to talk about it, even if it means a few awkward voicemails along the way.

Here’s to learning, improving, and dialing smarter. 📞

A state-of-the-art workflow for utmost content accuracy

Happy first day back to work for most of us! As we gear up to tackle 2025, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on a couple of key stats from 2024 that illustrate the scope of content work in hotel distribution and the impact of the part AI, part human ingenuity, HotelPORT® team.

In 2024, we completed over 6 million content-related tasks for hotels around the world. By doing so, we saved hotels an incredible 23,872 hours of work. That’s nearly 1,000 days, or over 142 weeks, of nonstop effort.

We are proud to help lighten the load for our industry partners, allowing them to focus on the strategic aspects of distribution and guest services, rather than the heavy lifting of content blocking and tackling.

In 2012, when she and Fred started working out of his living room, Danielle’s focus and determination were already key to shaping our early success. Over the years, her dedication and expertise have been instrumental in driving our hashtag .

Danielle embodies the spirit of success—driven, dynamic, and deeply connected to her team.
