Roles behind different DJs 🎛️

Not every DJ is hired for the same reason, and that’s important to understand.

Some DJs are production-driven. They bring the full setup: sound, lighting, cables, mics, backups, and coordination. Their role is to make sure the event functions smoothly from start to finish.

Others are artistry-driven. They step into an existing system and focus entirely on the music, reading the room, guiding energy, and delivering a signature sound and presence.

Both roles take skill, preparation, and experience.
They’re just valued and compensated for different work.
