The 53rd edition of Clamor a Dios brought Christian worship music, prayer and messages of faith to the Puerto Rico Capitol grounds in San Juan. Led by evangelist Jorge Raschke, the program continued for more than four hours, with the congregation remaining through a heavy downpour.
JF Sound Corp. deployed an all-dBTechnologies VIO loudspeaker system to cover an outdoor audience area approximately 300 feet wide and 300 feet deep.
System designer and FOH engineer Juan Fuentes configured 24 VIO L1610 modules across four hangs: two main arrays to reach the rear of the audience area and two out-fill arrays to extend coverage across its width. Four VIO L1608 modules covered the first rows, supported by eight VIO S218 subwoofers.
“The two main arrays carried the program to the rear of the audience area, while the out-fill hangs extended coverage across its full width,” says Fuentes. “The VIO L1608s allowed us to cover the first rows with a compact system that integrated naturally with the larger arrays.”
On stage, four ultra-compact VIO X206 loudspeakers provided truss-mounted fills with minimal visual obstruction, while four VIO W12T active coaxial wedges handled monitoring. Aurora Net provided real-time system monitoring and control of EQ, delay and levels as weather conditions changed.
