History is about to be made… again.

In 1983, the groundbreaking Karplus-Strong papers introduced an entirely new model of sound synthesis. With just a burst of noise and a tuned delay line, computers could suddenly create astonishingly realistic plucked strings and entirely new sonic textures. It wasn’t just another synthesizer—it was a new way of thinking about sound.

More than four decades later, that same spirit of innovation is about to take another leap.

Soundkist is almost here.

Building on the extended “Karplus-Strong” sound design theories they originally proposed, Soulfeggio Scientific is nearly complete with its Enhanced Karplus-Strong engine. Soundkist reimagines what’s possible with physical modeling, opening the door to sounds that are expressive, organic, and unlike anything you’ve heard before.

The next chapter is about to begin.
