๐Ÿ”’ Protect Your Business From Email Spoofing! ๐Ÿ”’
As Artificial Intelligence continues to revolutionize businesses, itโ€™s also becoming a powerful tool for malicious actors on the dark web. One growing concern? Email spoofing.
๐Ÿ’ป Data mining bots are scouring the web for public information. When your company lists staff names alongside their email addresses, youโ€™re providing cybercriminals with the perfect ingredients to create more convincing phishing attempts.
๐Ÿšจ Itโ€™s time to rethink how you share your contact information online. Protect your team by using generic email addresses for public listings and reduce your exposure to these threats.
๐ŸŒ Stay proactive. Stay secure. Your business deserves it! ๐Ÿ’ผ

Cybersecurity Month is Here โ€“ It is time for a Network Security Review!
October is Cybersecurity Month, and we're here to help you keep your business safe from cyber threats.
Did you know that email is the number one source of viruses? That's why it's important to have strong cybersecurity measures in place.
We're suggesting a network security review. During the review, we'll assess your current security posture and identify any areas where you may be vulnerable. We'll also provide you with recommendations on how to improve your security posture.
In addition to network security reviews, we also offer employee security seminars. These seminars can help your employees learn about the latest cyber threats and how to protect themselves and your business.
To schedule your network security review, or to learn more about our employee security seminars, please contact Linda, Bob or Kevin.

Scammers and hackers use email and now texting as a primary attack point.

Phishing and spear phishing are both cyberattacks that use deceptive emails to trick people into clicking malicious links or attachments. The main difference is that phishing is a more generic and automated attack that targets a large group of people, while spear phishing is a more specific and personalized attack that targets a single individual or a small group. Spear phishing requires more research and effort from the attacker, but it also has a higher chance of success.

On National Slam the Scam Day and throughout the year, we give you the tools to recognize scams and stop scammers from stealing your money and personal information. Share scam information with your loved ones. Slam the Scam!

Recognize the four basic signs of a scam:
1. Scammers pretend to be from a familiar organization or agency, like the Social Security Administration or your bank. They may email attachments with official-looking logos, seals, signatures, or pictures of employee credentials.
2. Scammers mention a problem or a prize. They may say your Social Security number or credit card was involved in a crime or ask for personal information to deposit prize money.
3. Scammers pressure you to act immediately. They may threaten you with arrest or legal action.
4. Scammers tell you to pay using a gift card, prepaid debit card, cryptocurrency, wire or money transfer, or by mailing cash. They may also tell you to transfer your money to a โ€œsafeโ€ account.

If you suspect you have received a scam email, contact us today at 601-482-8523 to Slam the Scam!
