Been seeing a lot of this on MSI Z690 boards, these M.2 cover threaded standoffs are just glued to the board, over tightening the M.2 cover will pull the standoff from the board

This PCIe slot has seen better days, soldered in a replacement and now this Z490 Godlike is running just fine again! One of the RAM slots also has part of the plastic tab broken but the locking part isn't damaged, all RAM slots lock into place so it's not worth stressing the board over.
Moral story: don't hammer down on that GPU when it's in the slot!

Saved from the grave, this Z390 Aorus Xtreme had pretty bad socket damaged and is now running great after a replacement! I've got to say I'm pretty impressed with the board, Gigabyte's quality on their top of the line boards still shows after a few years.

Been seeing more LGA 1700 boards with broken pins. Be careful with those pins folks, these new ones seem more fragile than prior generations!
