When it comes to an athlete’s performance every fraction of a second counts. Poor oral health affects performance in sport. Data collected by the research team at UCL Eastman Dental Institute Centre for Oral Health and Performance (www.ucl.ac.uk/cohp) indicate that there is room for improvement in elite and professional athletes’ oral health.

Brushlink has partnered up with the research team as part of a new project which aims to improve oral health, mitigate risks and reduce performance impacts through simple behavior change including effective toothbrushing.

We promote oral health in sport to enhance the performance, overall health and wellbeing of athletes. We engage in high-quality, cross-cutting research.
