This is for you Windows Phone users, in the next week we are releasing a great new app directed towards hunters. It's called Hunter's Assistant. You do need to have Windows Phone 7.5 Mango. If you don't have it, you should update your phone ;) (It's free to do so.)
Hunter's Assistant has a variety of tools for the hunter. We have put 29 predator calls and 2 locator calls(for coyotes) into the app. There is a weather page, that allows you to view the weather forecast for your location. There is a page where you select the state website you want to visit, and it takes you to the state's official wildlife website; this allows you to view laws, upcoming events, and more.
Our last two features are my favorites. We have the safety text page. You select a time, and who you want to send an sms message to, and hunter's assistant sends a message saying "I have gone hunting. I expect to be back around {time}. If I don't show up, this is my current location:
Latitude:
Longitude: "
The last feature is the GPS page. Of course it allows you to see where you are. You can select to view either a map view, or an aerial view. You can save your location using different push-pins. Including: Home, food plot, game spotted, stand, blind, trail, and processor.
We are offering a 30 day trial to allow you to use all of it's features, and see what's so great about Hunter's Assistant for yourself. After the 30 days, to continue using Hunter's Assistant, you will need to buy the full app for 1.99 USD
The app does have ads in it, to help support the cost of producing the app, and to keep the price as cheap as possible.
