Microsoft has invested $105m in Arizona in just over three weeks in order to support the demand for cloud and internet services in the Western US.
Giving a new twist on the building, A Microsoft spokesperson said: "Our design uses outside air for cooling when temperatures are below 85°F instead of water. When temperatures are above 85°F, an evaporative cooling system is used which is similar to 'swamp coolers' in residential homes."
