Job Responsibilities: Reading technical manuals to learn correct settings for equipment Installing wires and cables as well as splice wires or cables Disassembling equipment or modify equipment in accordance to use request Entering commands into computer to test equipment Verifying that data is being transmitted between locations according to specifications Responsible for viewing and completing work orders Move, change, install, repair or remove data communications equipment such as POS systems, phone systems, computer terminals, audio systems, DVR’s, digital signage, traffic monitoring system and wireless RF units.
Inspect and test wiring to locate and repair problems as well as ensuring that all specifications are met.
Job Requirements: 1+ years field experience in configuration Installation of hardware products, cabling, and networking Knowledge of the 25 pair color code Cable pulling and terminations Must be able to work alone without direct supervision Must be able to read and understand a written Scope of Work and Work Orders Firm understanding of T-1 circuits and installation POS installation/configuration POS break/fix knowledge Phone system installation (Cisco amp;amp; Avaya) Knowledge of BICSI standards Inventory control management .
Physical and Mental Requirements: Must be self-motivated, positive in approach, professional and help create, develop and implement project process improvements. Must promote the company culture and mission to all employees, vendors, clients and business partners Must be able to act as the company liaison for interface with customer representatives Must possess proven problem solving skills, critical thinking skills and the ability to effectively read, write and give oral directions. Must be able to work at heights, off a ladder and in confined spaces, lift up to 50 lbs and move up to 75 lbs. Must be able to see and distinguish different colors, read small print and hear and recognize audible signals such as dial tones.
Must be able and willing to travel 100 -300 miles a week in a Company or POV vehicle.
Fuel and Maint. Fees wil be paid for by Hybrid Networks.
This is is a 1099 contractor position with full time hours going up to 60 hours a week.
Education, Certification, License and Skill Requirements: High School Diploma or some college 1-2 years field experience in configuration. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks at off-site client locations. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal Basic computer skills and strong organizational skills Ability to travel and a valid driver’s license with a clear driving record. Availability to work evening and weekend hours.
Compensation and Benefits : (Contract to Hire-1099 12 Month contract with optional extentions and W2 positions) Availability to work evening and weekend hours will qualify you to receive emergency pay. Training is provided with a seasoned tech or area manager. Training pay will apply ($18.00 Hr.) while training with a veteran tech or area manager until such a time where you can successfully demonstrate your ability to complete work orders on your own. Once you have been released from training you will be on a probationary status ($20.00Hr.) After Probationary Status (60 Days) you will then ascertain the Standard Tech pay of $25.00 Hour. Emergency Work Orders and weekend work will automatically qualify you for emergency pay ($35.00Hr.) after you have been released from training.
