If one password gets stolen, how many of your accounts does it unlock?
If the answer is “most of them,” it is time to change that.
Using a password manager lets you have a strong, unique password for every account without having to memorize all of them. Add multi-factor authentication where you can, and one stolen password becomes a much smaller problem.
Security does not have to be complicated to be useful.

Weekend tech tip: restart the thing.
Yes, really.
If your computer, router, printer, or other device has been acting strange for days, a proper restart can clear stuck processes and temporary glitches.
It will not fix everything—but it fixes enough things that there is a reason every IT person asks whether you tried it.
And if the problem comes right back after the restart, that is usually a sign it needs a closer look.

Backups are boring right up until the moment they become very interesting.
A failed drive, stolen laptop, ransomware infection, or accidental delete can turn into a very bad day fast if the only copy of your files was on that device.
Important files should exist in more than one place, and at least one copy should be separate from the computer you use every day.

Probably not until you check a few things first.
Look closely at the sender address, hover over links before clicking, and when in doubt go directly to the company’s website instead of using the link in the email.
Scammers are getting better at making messages look real. A few extra seconds can save you hours of cleanup later.
