Midwest Food Bank - At the beginning of summer, hearing of increasing food needs and our dwindling inventories at Midwest Food Bank PA to meet those needs, two anonymous donors generously combined to provide a matching gift of up to $30,000. The intent of the gift? To help us procure more basic staples to meet increasing demand from our partners and ultimately people in need. They provided this opportunity to encourage others with “all glory to God,” for the results!

To date, we have received $17,840 in donations against this challenge, for which we are very grateful. The challenge ends August 31, so we still need to raise $12,160 this month to access the full match. You can help us fully attain this generous offer. Security Systems Technician

Job Description:
We are seeking a commercially-skilled and experienced Security Systems Technician who embodies the qualities of being humble, hungry, and smart. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in installing, programming, and troubleshooting access control, video surveillance, security, and fire alarm systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Installation and Configuration:
Install, program, and configure access control, video surveillance, security, and fire alarm systems according to customer and project specifications.
Ensure all components and devices are properly connected, calibrated, and integrated to provide seamless and effective security solutions.

Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues with security systems, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions promptly.
Conduct regular maintenance checks to ensure the continued functionality and optimal performance of installed systems.

Quality Assurance:
Maintain a high standard of workmanship and quality in all installations, service and programming.
Conduct thorough testing to validate system functionality and compliance with industry standards.

Customer Interaction:
Interact professionally with clients to understand their specific security requirements.
Provide clear explanations of system functionalities to clients, address any and all questions or concerns.

Documentation:
Generate detailed and accurate documentation of all installations, configurations, change orders, and troubleshooting activities.
Keep records of equipment inventory, serial numbers, and firmware versions.

Stay Informed:
Stay updated on industry trends, advancements, and best practices related to security systems.
Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in installing, programming, and troubleshooting access control, video surveillance, security, and fire alarm systems.
Proficiency in working with any or all of the following preferred: Bosch, DSC, Honeywell, Fire Lite, Silent Knight, Potter, Alarm.com, Feenics, OpenEye, Hanwha.
Strong understanding of networking principles and protocols relevant to security, video and access control systems.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Relevant certifications in security systems installation and maintenance are a plus.
