Some of my coworkers have four legs, demand snacks, and think my workspace belongs to them.

And honestly? They're probably the bosses around here.

Who else has furry coworkers?

A little throwback to around 2021 when I painted Eleanor from Lucky Us Farm ! She’s all grown up now, but she’s still one of my favorites at the farm. I don’t get there nearly as often as I used to, and I really miss seeing all the members of the fuzz crew!

If you love llamas and alpacas as much as I do, be sure to check out the other paintings I’ve done of the Lucky Us Farm crew on my website at zimmermandesigns.net!

And don’t forget to check out luckyusfarm.net for upcoming events, including Small Business Saturday and photo shoots in November. It’s a great place to visit and spend some time with these adorable faces!

I painted this little guy just in time for Halloween! With his witch hat and orange bow tie, he’s ready for the season.

This original 8x10 oil painting is available for purchase. If you’d like to add a little Halloween art to your home, send me a message!

A little trip down memory lane!

This time-lapse video is from a painting I did of my nephew as a baby over 6 years ago! It’s amazing to look back at old artwork and see how much time has passed.

Time flies, but the memories (and the paintings!) last forever.

A little peek into the mind of an artist…

I can be sitting somewhere completely normal and suddenly notice:

“Wow, look at that lighting.”
“Those colors would make a great painting.”
“That animal has the BEST expression.”

And yes… sometimes I take pictures of things that everyone else probably walks right past.

I guess once you’re an artist, you never really stop looking at the world like a painting.

Anyone else do this?

Nine years ago, I started my painting journey, and this blueberry painting was one of the pieces from those early days.

Looking back at it now, I can see where my journey began—and it’s amazing to think about how much I’ve learned and grown as an artist since then. From learning how to work with oil paint to developing my own style and becoming more confident with color, texture, and brushwork, painting has become such an important part of my life.

This painting will always be special to me because it reminds me of where it all started.

Happy Friday!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

With so many blueberry festivals happening this weekend, I thought it was the perfect time to share one of my blueberry paintings. This piece is especially meaningful to me because it was one of the first paintings I created after picking up a paintbrush again in 2018.

If you’re looking for something fun to do this weekend, be sure to visit the Hollabaugh Bros. Blueberry Festival! It’s always a great event with delicious blueberries, great food, local vendors, and family fun.

🫐 Blueberries Original oil painting 8” × 8”
