Our latest case study on Armenia’s digital transformation of asset declarations is out now!

In 2021, Synergy won a contract to develop the Electronic Platform for Declarations of Assets, Incomes, Expenditures and Interests (EPD) for the CPC, financed by the World Bank. The EPD automates the declaration process and helps the Commission capture and analyze what public officials report about their property, income, expenditures, and interests. The EPD system has improved the way asset declarations are filed, processed, and monitored in Armenia, giving the CPC a transparent and efficient tool to prevent corruption.

The platform uses different data forms and validations for each declarant type. It is linked to different government databases, including the State Revenue Committee, Cadastre Committee and the Registry of Population, ensuring automatic data population. The EPD includes several integrated modules that collect and manage the declaration data efficiently.

“Sustainable Justice. For Today. For Tomorrow. For All.”

This year’s Commonwealth Magistrates’ and Judges’ Association (CMJA) Annual Conference brought together more than 400 delegates, making it the highest-attended CMJA Conference ever recorded.

Synergy was pleased to take part in the conference as an exhibitor, represented by Arpine Matevosyan and Niceson Karungi. Over the course of the conference, we had the opportunity to engage with Chief Justices, judges, magistrates and other justice-sector representatives from across the Commonwealth. It was particularly valuable to reconnect with delegates from Papua New Guinea, Uganda and Rwanda, where Synergy eCase is already supporting judicial digitalization, while also exchanging perspectives with institutions considering how technology can further support the work of their courts.

Jamaica also made this year’s conference especially meaningful for us. As Synergy continues its engagement with The Judiciary of Jamaica and the Rwanda Cooperation Initiative, it was a pleasure to meet colleagues in person and see first-hand the commitment behind Jamaica’s ongoing justice-sector digitalization efforts.

Our sincere thanks to the CMJA team for bringing together such a diverse judicial community, and to our colleagues and partners in Jamaica for the warm welcome and support throughout the conference.

The discussions throughout the week were a valuable reminder of how much judiciaries across different jurisdictions can learn from one another as they consider the future of justice delivery, digital transformation and sustainable institutional development.

TradeMark Africa (TMA) has introduced its Programme and Project Cycle Management System (PPCMS), built on Synergy’s Indicata product.

The PPCMS solution went live in July 2025 and is now being used across TMA’s operations in more than 20 African countries, supporting more consistent project and program management across its regional and country offices.

The system provides TMA with a central platform for project and program planning, monitoring and progress reporting. It also serves as an important source of data for risk reporting and as a repository for program and project-related information.

Synergy’s Senior Business Development Executive Sergei Gasparian attended the 14th Annual Conference of the Association of Caribbean Heads of Corrections and Prison Service in Jamaica.

The visit reflected Synergy’s continued partnership with Jamaica’s Department of Correctional Services, which actively uses DCS Nexus, Synergy’s correctional management system. DCS Nexus is the core system used by the department of correctional services, launched in 2024.

During the conference, Ms. Nadria Brown, Project Management Specialist at DCS, presented the system’s development journey and the work required to bring it to an official launch. She highlighted the team’s efforts beyond the technological aspects, including change management initiatives, internal capacity-building activities, and the steps taken to support the system’s successful implementation and adoption.

Soon the DCS Nexus is also going to be enforced with AI that will facilitate faster review and analysis of inmate and custodial information, as well as raise the efficiency of system operations.

These capabilities are designed to support more efficient access to information, document handling, and correctional case management.

Synergy eCase© supports corrections institutions as part of its broader integrated digital justice approach.

Commissioned by the Danish Refugee Council (DRC), Synergy developed and deployed a Referral Management System (RMS) for Somalia to support more coordinated delivery of humanitarian services across health, nutrition, and protection sectors.

Built on Synergy Auxilium, the RMS digitizes the full referral lifecycle, from beneficiary registration and referral submission to processing, follow-up, and case closure.

Recognizing Somalia’s challenging connectivity environment, the system supports both web-based and Android offline operations, allowing field teams to capture and update referral information without internet access and securely synchronize data once connectivity is restored.

As courts increasingly consider and adopt AI-enabled tools, an important question arises: who controls how the technology behaves, what data it can access, and who can use it?

Synergy eCase© provides a dedicated AI Admin Center that keeps these decisions in the hands of the judiciary. Authorized administrators can select AI providers and models, define instructions for how AI should behave, specify the data sources it can access, and determine which AI capabilities are available to different users and roles.

This allows judiciaries to adapt AI to their legal, procedural and institutional context while maintaining control over its behavior, access, and use.

Responsible AI in courts starts with clear governance mechanisms that keep the judiciary in control.
