Network Cable Technician (Entry-Level / Part-Time)
We are looking for a focused, reliable Network Cable Technician to join our team on a part-time basis. While we are open to candidates with no prior experience, we need someone who is mechanically inclined, takes pride in high-quality work, and is ready to learn the trade from the ground up.
This is a hands-on role involving the physical installation of data infrastructure—the "hidden" wiring that makes the internet work.
• Cable Pulling: Routing CAT6 and fiber optic cables through ceilings, walls, and conduits in varied commercial environments.
• MDF/IDF Build-Outs: Assisting in the setup of server rooms and telecom closets (Main and Intermediate Distribution Frames).
• Terminating Patch Panels: Punching down copper lines into rack-mounted panels with precision and neatness.
• Workstation Finishing: Terminating CAT6 jacks and installing faceplates at the desk/user end.
• Professional Labeling: Using industrial labelers to clearly identify both ends of every cable, patch panel port, and faceplate for troubleshooting and organization.
What We’re Looking For
• The "Right" Attitude: You don’t need a resume full of tech experience, but you do need to be a fast learner who follows instructions to the letter.
• Attention to Detail: Accuracy is everything. You must be able to follow color-coded wiring schemes (T568B) and ensure all labels are legible and straight.
• Physicality: Comfortable climbing ladders, working in tight spaces, and standing for long periods.
• Reliability: You are dependable, on time, and have your own reliable transportation to get to various job sites.
Position Details & Compensation
• Type: Part-Time (approx. 15–25 hours per week, depending on project load).
• Pay Rate: Starting pay is dependent on a pre-employment skills assessment. This assessment will evaluate your ability to follow instructions and use punch-down and crimp tools.
• Training: We provide comprehensive on-the-job training for all termination and testing procedures.

Requirements
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to use basic hand tools (screwdrivers, drills, etc.).
• Strong communication skills and a professional appearance while on-site (especially in medical and government settings).
• Ability to pass a background check (Required for access to secure government and education facilities.
