Today, I turned off the lights at A Cellular Edge for the last time. As I stood there, memories from the past 17 years washed over me. So many moments, so many faces, so much gratitude. This wasn’t just a business, it was a gathering place, a home, a place where frustrated customers became friends, and where ordinary transactions grew into extraordinary relationships.
I think of the incredible people who walked through our doors. Customers who became like family, employees who grew and moved on to amazing things, and the kids I once helped with their first phones who are now thriving adults with families of their own. It’s humbling to realize how many lives intersected with ours over the years.
When Jasson and I started this journey, we were young parents, full of hope and determination. This business gave us so much more than a livelihood. It gave us flexibility to be there for our family, to coach, to connect, and to grow alongside the community we served. Building something that mattered to people. That is a gift I’ll always cherish.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Thank you to every customer who trusted us, every employee who gave their best, and every friend who supported us along the way. A Cellular Edge was a success because of you.
While this chapter has closed, the relationships and memories never will. I’ll still see you around town, and I’ll always smile knowing how much this little business meant to so many.
And hey…if your phone starts acting up, I’m only a text away. Old habits die hard!
With all my heart,
Jason Mellott
