We are still working on an outage from Bluff in Spring Creek to the end of the line in Shut-In. Our guys have been isolating individual tap lines and transformers in an attempt to find the issue causing the fault. They just found the problem which was a bad regulator on the middle phase of the main line. We are removing it and should having everything back on shortly. Thank you for your patience. We will have to reinstall a new regulator in the next day or two, so you may see a brief outage for it to be reconnected.

We are aware of a power outage currently affecting some of our members off of Hwy 25/70, as well as the Clarks Chapel Rd and Old Gibbs Rd areas in Weaverville.

Crews are already on-site and working safely and quickly to restore power to everyone affected. Thank you so much for your patience as we get the lights back on!

INTERNET OUTAGE NOTIFICATION

1:51PM UPDATE:
Connectivity seems to be stabilizing at the moment as Google and other services seem to be consistently reachable. If you continue to have issues with connectivity, please reboot your router and check to verify that internet connection has been restored.

1:31PM: UPDATE
Connections continue to remain sporadic on certain services. We have determined that this isn't necessarily an issue with French Broad Fiber's infrastructure; however, it is a larger scale issue that will affect certain services. Google-specific services, and other services that utilize Google, seem to be primarily affected. We will keep this thread updated as we learn more.

1:18PM: UPDATE
For full transparency our upstream provider experienced an issue that caused the outage. This has been mostly restored and internet connectivity should start flowing again soon. Thanks for your patience.
