The Evesham Township Police Department is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Detective Jared Halpern, who passed away Tuesday night surrounded by his loving family after courageously battling an extremely rare germ cell cancer for the second time.
Detective Halpern was known throughout the department and community not only for his incredible strength and determination during his fight with cancer, but also for the remarkable person and police officer he was every day he wore the badge.

He was respected as a trusted mentor to fellow officers, a loyal friend, and someone who consistently placed the needs of others before his own. His professionalism, unwavering dedication to public service, and sense of humor left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
