Inspired by Real Events:
A grandmother was watching her grandchild and handed her smartphone to the 18-month-old to keep them entertained during mealtime. The toddler unexpectedly tossed the device from the eating area, causing significant screen damage. The grandmother now expects the parents to cover the full repair costs.
The parents declined for several reasons:
1. Repair expenses would strain their budget significantly
2. An adult handed fragile electronics to a small child unsupervised
3. Nobody requested phones be used for childcare purposes
Now there’s family tension over who’s financially responsible. Classic holiday drama.

“Family gatherings are unpredictable. Your phone protection shouldn’t be.”
