Well, at least ONE tech leader has a good sense about what's happening with AI code. Way to go Linus!
FYI, my linux kernal has updates four of five times in the last two weeks. Sometimes you can go nearly a month without an update. I support locking down this codebase and hope other major tech companies do the same.

Linus Torvalds has officially had enough of the "AI-generated slop" clogging up the Linux kernel. 🐧
The Linux creator is pushing back against developers who are using AI tools to spam the project with non-critical, trivial "fixes" late in the release cycle. Instead of helping, this flood of AI-assisted patches is creating unnecessary bloat and forcing maintainers to do extra work during a phase where the focus should be on stability, not churn.
Torvalds is now warning that he’s going to be much more "hardnosed" about these submissions moving forward.
Is AI lowering the barrier to entry for kernel development at the expense of quality? Or is this just an inevitable growing pain in the world of open source? Let’s hear your take below. ^P
