Galileo Performance Explorer

Galileo Performance Explorer Galileo is the single most powerful observability tool for the modern data center.

It gives IT teams fast, reliable observability across hybrid environments, so you can control cost, performance, and risk without complex deployments or unpredictable Galileo is the data-driven enterprise solution for proactive monitoring, optimization, and strategic management of complex modern and legacy infrastructure stacks, living on-prem, hybrid, or in the cloud. Galileo helps enterprise IT teams cut costs, answer critical infrastructure questions, and optimize the stack without exhausting your internal resources. Unlike traditional monitoring architectures, Galileo leverages contextual data to expose your operational reality. By combining raw historical data with a purpose-built analytics engine and intuitive 3D navigation (uniquely built on a state-of-the-art gaming engine), Galileo delivers the visibility and insights IT teams need to:

✅ Cut costs by optimizing cloud and on-prem workloads.

✅ Answer critical infrastructure questions, including “What do I have?” “What’s connected to what?” and most importantly, “Am I healthy?” to manage infrastructure health, connectivity, and capacity efficiently.

✅ Optimize the stack to increase resiliency and reliability, improve governance, and reduce risk, all without exhausting your internal resources.

Accurate network topology starts with understanding how infrastructure is connected.
At Zabbix Summit 2026, our CTO Andy Wojnarek shared some of the engineering behind Automated Network Topology Maps in Galileo.

The presentation explored how network discovery data can be collected, processed, and streamed into topology visualization systems, including the challenges of managing complex network environments at scale.

For infrastructure teams, topology information provides important context for understanding device relationships, investigating issues, and assessing how changes may affect the broader environment.

This work is part of our continued investment in connecting infrastructure data with the insights IT teams need to manage their environments.

What could better infrastructure visibility mean for your IT operations?

With IBM TechXchange 2026 just two weeks away, we're looking forward to connecting with IT professionals focused on improving performance, controlling costs, and managing complex environments.

Visit us at Booth #773 to explore how Galileo helps IT teams:

✓ Unify visibility across IBM Power, Storage, and hybrid infrastructure. ✓ Identify issues faster with real-time monitoring, intelligent alerting, and historical context. ✓ Plan with confidence using long-term data, capacity insights, and reporting. ✓ Connect operations through integrations and automation.

When is it time to stop renewing and start reconsidering your monitoring strategy?

For this global organization, the answer wasn’t based on a single issue.

The infrastructure team wanted deeper visibility, fewer false positives, greater flexibility, and an alternative to rising licensing costs and a long-term renewal commitment.

And they didn’t make the change all at once.

Galileo first became part of the environment for deeper performance analysis and capacity planning. Its role expanded over time. Eventually, the organization rethought its monitoring strategy and consolidated on Galileo.

The result was a fully operational modern observability environment across thousands of monitored devices.

If your next monitoring renewal is on the horizon, their experience offers a useful example of what another path can look like.

Infrastructure modernization rarely happens all at once.
New services, platforms, and applications are being introduced while proven systems continue doing critical work. The result is an increasingly mixed environment spanning vendors, architectures, and generations of technology.

Your monitoring strategy needs to account for all of it.

Galileo brings that data together, using native collectors, APIs, SNMP, agents, webhooks, and custom collection methods to provide unified visibility across modern and legacy infrastructure.

And the value extends beyond data collection.

Galileo connects infrastructure insight with the operational platforms your teams already use for service management, collaboration, automation, and reporting, helping that insight move directly into the workflows where teams investigate, respond, and make decisions.

One platform. Broad coverage. Connected operations.

When you replace a platform that monitors thousands of devices, you’re choosing more than technology.

And that mattered to the global IT organization behind this modernization project.

The team needed the right monitoring capabilities, but it also wanted people it could trust through the transition and work with long-term.

Galileo engineers worked alongside the customer to translate requirements, redesign monitoring and alerts, prioritize the rollout, and move thousands of monitored devices with minimal operational disruption.

The result was a fully operational modern observability environment in six weeks, and a team the customer felt comfortable working with beyond the migration.

🎓 BACK TO SCHOOL FOR IT | LESSON #4

Graduate from monitoring to proactive IT.

Knowing what’s happening now is important. Knowing what’s coming next is even better.

By combining current visibility with historical performance, trend analysis, and long-term capacity planning, IT teams can move beyond reacting to issues and start making more informed decisions before problems arise.

That’s the difference between simply monitoring infrastructure and managing it proactively.

A successful monitoring migration should improve more than the technology stack.
After consolidating its monitoring on Galileo, one global organization saw measurable changes in how its infrastructure team worked:

✓ Fewer false positives
✓ Faster incident validation and triage
✓ Near-real-time infrastructure visibility
✓ Better service-level awareness
✓ Greater flexibility across tools and integrations
✓ Lower licensing costs

Those outcomes came from more than replacing one platform with another. The team used the transition to rethink its monitoring strategy and what information its people needed to act.

📚 BACK TO SCHOOL FOR IT | LESSON #3
Your infrastructure has a history. Study it.

What happened yesterday, or six months ago, can tell you a lot about what may happen tomorrow.

Historical performance data helps IT teams identify trends, understand normal behavior, investigate recurring issues, and see where capacity may become a concern.

Galileo turns infrastructure history into actionable reporting that can support better planning, forecasting, and infrastructure decisions.

Sometimes the best way to look forward is to look back.
