Cybercriminals are launching new global phishing attacks that are hitting businesses and individuals across industries right now. These scams are more convincing than ever—often mimicking trusted brands like Microsoft, Google, Zoom, and Booking.com—to trick users into clicking malicious links, sharing credentials, or downloading malware.

What you need to know:

Malware hidden in phishing links can give hackers remote access to your systems.

Fake invites from platforms like Google Classroom, Teams, and Zoom are being used to steal login credentials.

Look-alike URLs (e.g., Booking.com scams) and SMS phishing (“smishing”) are spreading quickly.

AI-generated phishing emails look professional and bypass the usual “bad grammar” red flags.

How to stay safe:

Hover over links before clicking

Don’t download unexpected attachments

Double-check sender addresses and URLs

Enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

Report anything suspicious immediately

Staying alert is the best defense—don’t let your business be the next victim.

Apple Issues Emergency Security Updates — All Users Should Update Immediately

Apple has released critical security updates to fix a newly discovered vulnerability (CVE-2025-43300) that is actively being exploited by attackers in the wild. This issue affects iPhones, iPads, and Macs, and could allow a hacker to take control of your device simply by getting you to open a malicious image.

What You Need to Know

The flaw is in Apple’s Image I/O framework, which processes images across many apps.

Attackers are using this vulnerability in targeted attacks against specific individuals.

Apple confirmed that the flaw is already being exploited in real-world attacks.

This is the seventh zero-day Apple has patched so far in 2025.

Who Is Affected

iPhones: iPhone XS and newer

iPads: iPad Pro (all models), iPad Air (3rd gen and later), iPad (6th gen and later), iPad mini (5th gen and later)

Macs: macOS Sequoia, Sonoma, and Ventura

How to Protect Yourself

Update your Apple devices now

On iPhone/iPad: Settings > General > Software Update

On Mac: System Settings > General > Software Update

Install the latest versions:

iOS / iPadOS 18.6.2 (or iPadOS 17.7.10 for older models)

macOS Sequoia 15.6.1, Sonoma 14.7.8, Ventura 13.7.8

Restart your devices after the update is installed.

Why This Matters

Zero-day vulnerabilities are flaws that hackers discover before the vendor has a fix available. Once disclosed, attackers often move quickly to target unpatched devices. This means delaying updates could leave your personal and business data at serious risk.

✅ Action Required: Please update your Apple devices today to ensure your information and our business network remain secure.

🔒 At SERTG, we are constantly monitoring threats like this to keep our customers protected. If you have any questions about this update or need assistance applying it, don’t hesitate to reach out.
