Hospitals in Nepal face a critical challenge in safely managing health care waste. Improper sorting risks spreading infections and harming workers. To address this, we built an AI tool that recognizes waste types and suggests the correct bin using Nepal's official healthcare waste color codes. Our model achieved 95% accuracy in testing. The tool is now available online, and we believe more local data will enhance its performance. Our supporting research is published in the Kathmandu University Journal of Science, Engineering and Technology.
