Some careers begin by connecting people with opportunities. Others evolve into creating careers, building teams, and shaping future leaders. For Jeanne Shuell, what started as a B2B Agent grew into a leadership journey centered on people, trust, and helping others succeed, leading to her role as Senior Talent Acquisition Leader.
Here’s Jeanne's story, in her own words:
"My journey at Etech began 17 years ago as a B2B Agent, and I never imagined the incredible journey that lay ahead. Throughout my career, I've been fortunate to learn from great leaders, embrace new opportunities, and grow both professionally and personally. Every experience has strengthened my passion for recruiting and developing strong teams.
Today, as Senior Talent Acquisition Leader, I have the privilege of helping candidates find careers where they can thrive while partnering with leaders to bring in talent that strengthens our organization. Looking back, I'm grateful for the opportunities Etech has provided and excited to continue contributing to our future success.
Throughout my journey, I've learned that challenges often create the greatest opportunities for growth. Whether adapting to changing business needs, recruiting in a competitive market, or leading through new processes, each experience has taught me the importance of staying flexible, communicating openly, and keeping people at the center of every decision. I've also learned that seeking different perspectives and working collaboratively leads to stronger solutions. Those lessons have made me more confident, resilient, and appreciative of the value of teamwork and continuous learning.
My leadership philosophy is simple—people come first. As a servant leader, my role is to remove obstacles, provide guidance, and create opportunities for others to succeed. I strive to lead by example, build relationships based on trust and respect, and help people discover strengths they may not yet see in themselves. When people feel supported and empowered, they bring their best ideas, work together more effectively, and accomplish great things.
Looking back, my proudest achievement isn't a single accomplishment—it's the relationships and careers I've helped build over the years. Seeing candidates I hired grow into leaders, watching my team succeed, and knowing I've contributed to Etech's continued growth has been incredibly rewarding. Success isn't measured only by hiring numbers; it's measured by the people who thrive because someone believed in their potential."
A reminder from Jeanne's journey: The greatest leaders don't just fill positions—they open doors, build relationships, and create opportunities that change lives.
