WHY WE APPROACH THINGS DIFFERENTLY

Many of our clients told us they felt some or all of these things before working with us:

~ Disempowered.
~ Not knowing how their technology works. We've heard this called the 'Wizard of Oz' effect.
~ Feeling handcuffed to their web designer or tech person.
~ Winging it hiring various freelancers with inconsistent results.
~ Not clear on how to make or reques

t updates to their pages, automations or designs.
~ Unclear expectations and sub-par delivery.
~ Launched the website or funnel, but don't have a roadmap for what's next. This is why we developed a new process and system for empowering our clients!

- You own everything we design for you.

- We teach you how everything connects.

- We make it simple, easy and fun to hire us for on-going projects or updates.

- We collaborate with you on your lifestyle business vision so that you're achieving your goals more efficiently than ever before. LET'S KICK OFF THE CONVERSATION

One thing that really stood out in this conversation is how naturally retainers evolve when you are deeply embedded in a business. When you help architect the system itself, you understand it in a way no one else can, and that creates trust that lasts.

What I love about pairing services with software is that it supports both sides. Even if a client ever shifts their service relationship, the system you built continues to serve them, and the recurring software revenue remains. That stability changes everything.

This is why the HighLevel opportunity feels different to me. It is not about doing more work. It is about building smarter, long-term systems and being able to participate in the growth you help create.

Something David explained really well was how overwhelming business feels when everything is scattered. Too many tools, too many logins, and moments where clients feel confused. When everything lives in one place, the business feels calmer, clearer, and easier to grow. Growth isn’t always about adding more. Sometimes it’s about simplifying.

If this caught your attention, the rest of the episode goes into detail about the Website Builder's wake up call! Wach the whole thing on YouTube!

One of the fastest ways to level up a small business?

Stop letting them email clients from **mybusiness@gmail dot com** like it’s 2009 and we’re all still sharing iTunes passwords.

Setting up Google Workspace with a real domain
name@mybusines dot com

Sounds simple. It is simple.
But it changes everything.
It signals credibility.
It gives ownership.

It makes the business feel established instead of… temporarily assembled.
Then we pair it with a proper subdomain and connect it correctly inside HighLevel.
Now we’re not “sending emails.”
We’re building infrastructure.

This is the work most businesses skip because it’s not flashy.
It’s foundational.

And this is where you stop being a web designer and start being a digital architect.
We go deep into this inside Kismet Club workshops.

If you want to build smarter systems for your clients, that’s where the real conversations are happening.

Back in 2020, I was introduced to HighLevel and passed without much thought. I was already tired of learning new platforms and trying to make disconnected tools work together. Taking a closer look later shifted everything. Having messaging, automation, and AI living in one place changed how simple running a business could feel.

It stopped being about adding more tools and started being about building something that actually worked together.

At one point, David talked about being at a business opportunity meeting and noticing a guy pull up in a very fancy car. The car caught his attention, but it was the idea behind it that stayed with him. That was the first time not working for someone else felt like a real possibility. Inspiration shows up in unexpected ways sometimes.

One thing David shared that really stuck with me was his first “yes.” Getting paid before knowing exactly how the work would come together, trusting himself to figure it out as he went. All he had was a laptop, a basic website builder, and the confidence to try. Those moments have a way of showing you you’re more capable than you think.

This conversation keeps coming up for website designers. There is a real difference between one-off projects and building something that supports recurring work. When software becomes part of the offer, the relationship with clients starts to shift. It opens up a steadier way to grow without constantly starting over. ⚡

The idea of templates can feel abstract until you realize it is really about deeply understanding one type of client and solving the same core problems over and over again in a clean, thoughtful way. When you slow down enough to identify real pain points, building a $100 to $300 a month offer stops feeling complicated and starts feeling obvious.

This is the shift from custom everything to intentional systems. And once you see it, you cannot unsee how scalable and supportive this approach can be for both you and your clients.

A lot of businesses are either not automating at all or they have gone so far that no one actually wants to use the system. What usually works best sits somewhere in the middle. When onboarding feels smooth, follow up feels thoughtful, and growth happens naturally, everything else gets easier to support. Focusing on what truly matters tends to simplify more than adding anything new.

I used to live on the income rollercoaster, where one client meant a sprint and one invoice felt like relief, but only for a moment because I was right back at zero again, wondering why it had to feel this hard to keep going.

It wasn’t until I realized I needed something that could keep working even when I wasn’t that everything began to shift, and that’s what eventually became Kismet Club, a space for building income that isn’t tied to constant hustle.

If you’ve been craving more stability and a different way to grow, Kismet Club was built for you.
