A few of our team members and board members had the opportunity to attend the NTCA Legislative & Policy Conference in Washington, D.C. this week.

While there, they met with legislators to advocate for rural broadband, shared the impact of fiber in the communities we serve, and stayed up to date on policies that directly affect our customers. It’s all about making sure our voice—and your voice—is heard at the national level.

We’re proud to represent our communities and continue pushing for the resources and support needed to keep rural areas connected.

What a day in Springfield for Youth Day!

This is just a quick glimpse into a packed schedule—touring the Capitol, talking with representatives, hearing from great speakers, networking, and visiting the Abraham Lincoln Museum. This is a day we look forward to every year.

Seeing hundreds of high school juniors from across Illinois come together to learn about CO-OPs, how they work, and the advantages of being part of one is what it’s all about.

We’re also excited to announce that Wabash has selected Brenna Hays and Sienna Michl to represent us on the Youth Tour to Washington, D.C.—a week-long, all-expenses-paid experience with over 1,500 students from different CO-OPs from across the country. It truly is a trip of a lifetime.

This is what being part of a CO-OP is all about—members coming together, staying informed, and helping shape the future of your network.

We hope you enjoyed the meal, entertainment, giveaways, community tables, Customer Care Corner, and all the prizes. If you brought kids, we hope they had a blast in the Kids’ Corner.

Today is the day for the 2026 Wabash Communications CO-OP annual meeting! 🛜 Doors open and the meal will begin serving at 5:30 PM, and the business meeting will start at 7:00 PM. Every active CO-OP member who attends will not only receive two door giveaways but also a $25 bill credit. The kids' corner will be open from 5:30-7:00 PM. We will have various booths set up that offer great information and some cool giveaways, along with other community booths. We hope to see you tonight!
