WOODFORD RESERVE VR IS LIVE!!!

After a year of effort the Woodford Reserve VR App is finally published to the official Samsung Gear VR store.

The android and ios versions for cardboard have been up for months but this version took a lot of effort to get it in the official store. We wanted to upload a extremely high quality experience but the size of the app caused problems with the submission process. Previous to our app the max submission size was 500 MB, and our app is 1.5 GB. Luckily we had met an engineer on the Oculus team at a conference and brought up our concern with the file size limit and being required to stream or download the content after the app was installed. We argued it was a poor user experience and he agreed. He brought it up to the team and they agreed to add a new feature to load an additional file with the main app that installs seamlessly to the end user. It took some time but here we are with an app on the front page of the official store.
