Who can relate? 🙋🏻♀️
Here’s our 3 science-backed tips to work from home and maintain sanity:
1. Getting dressed is highly correlated with being productive. It’s advisable to tell yourself, and your brain, that you’re now about to do something that requires attention and productivity and an important first step is to get dressed each morning.
2. Trick yourself into believing you’re at work.
Separate a specific space of your home to work. If you don’t have an extra room, then allocate a specific space and stick to that location.
You can also play specific music and place a specific object on the table you are working on, and remove the object once you are done with your day.
In this way the brain starts wiring up to a routine and understands that every time you dress, you sit on THAT table, with THAT object and THAT specific music, it automatically enters in a focused mode.
3. Give your brain a break
We are most effective when we are calm, nonreactive and open to experiences. Means: Take breaks, breathe and meditate!
Meditation clears your mind, brings focus, relaxes the nervous system and helps in releasing stress and anxiety.
