ThunderStation is advanced PCIe expansion over Thunderbolt-2. We take the best Thunderbolt 2 expansion chassis in the marketplace and turn them into truly professional level expansion devices. What does this entail? Here are a few features you'll find in ThunderStation products: Double the throughput, up to 40 Gbps with dual independent Thunderbolt-2 buses, Add PCIe slots, Dedicate fast storage arrays to one Thunderbolt-2 bus connection, Additional Cooling systems, and Custom Configurations for specific data workflow needs. This is just to name a few. There's more - We add 12v & 5v DC power output options on the chassis via professional, locking XLR connectors. So now you can power your external peripherals without the ugly, heavy, cumbersome Power Supply Wall-Warts! Retina MacBook Pro? Yep, we power and charge that - get our cable! External Hard Drives? Yes, we power them all - G-RAID, OWC, CalDigit
Media Readers, Hubs etc? Yes, we power Red Station, HDLink, eSata and USB hubs, anything with 12v or 5v
