We're adding the final touches to the website we designed for .fine

Sarah came to us first for brand strategy and visual identity, and we couldn't be more thrilled to have come on board to help her realize her vision. Committed to transparency in sourcing and production, sasa is a purpose-drive brand doing things differently in the jewelry industry.

We're loving how it is all coming together, and can't wait to share more. In the meantime, here's a sneak peek!

A single design can evoke an entire experience. But if you don't get it just right, it's all wrong.

Anyone who has attempted a design project knows that stripped-down yet expressive imagery requires the most fine-tuning.

If simple but impactful is what you are going for, that is all the more reason to bring in a designer who can get to the heart of your brand identity and make it look effortless.

Announcing the September issue of Wordmark, a monthly newsletter from Creative Director Maria V Troconis, founder of Grafikisto and co-founder of our sister studio . This month’s newsletter focuses on one of the key services we offer: brand strategy. We believe that the strongest visual identity for your brand will tap into your product's differentiation points and your business' long-term objectives. That's why we begin our design process with overall strategizing, so that the design process moves forward with your goals in mind.

How to establish impactful brand positioning? What factors into your differentiation from your peers and competitors? We provide the questions that any business should be able to answer before rebranding. We just launched the August edition of Wordmark, our monthly newsletter. To celebrate the end of the season, this month we explored the ways summer can be interpreted through design, looking at several of our recent branding projects that have evoked the bright, leisurely spirit of the middle of the year. One of these projects was Sigil's new fragrance Aqua Viridi, a summer scent inspired by the ocean. In our designs for the packaging, color became the primary means of the scent’s marine inspiration. We distilled the key notes of the fragrance into a light yet rich blue-green, creating an immediate and elegant impression of the water on a summer day.

As the season draws to a close, we are reflecting on a few of our most summery projects and the design strategies they reveal. In our designs for the Los Angeles-based film studio Nuhr, we created the wave motif, a simple but distinct mark suggesting the ocean in a single line. This flexible design element, which can be embedded into a variety of contexts, expresses fluidity and momentum while evoking the studio’s coastal hometown.

We just sent out our latest newsletter where we share 5 questions every business, new and established, should be asking themselves when thinking of their branding. We believe implementing the answers to these questions into your brand strategy, is the first step to creating brand longevity.

– Brand’s recognition. What is your business and brand known for? If it’s a new business, what do you want it to be known for?

– Differentiation from peers and competitors. How is your business different in your space and industry?

– Business’s growth. What does the next 5 to 10 years look like for your business?

– Brand’s story. What’s your story, and how can you successfully tell your story throughout all points of communication?

– Raison d'etre. How do you keep your ‘Why’ at the forefront of your brand strategy as you grow?

We help our clients answer these questions and many more with our brand strategy workshops. On our latest post on Wordmark we share an overview of what this looks via our work of the past 10 years with , a contemporary art gallery based in Los Angeles and New York City.

Once a month we share an in-depth look at all things branding and design via Wordmark. Subscribe if interested in staying updated. Link in bio!

First and foremost, rebranding should be a clarifying experience. While many think of brand identity from the consumer's perspective, it actually begins with the business itself. Your rebrand shouldn't just make you more presentable—it should make you more efficient, more inspired, and more connected to your purpose.

Whether setting a mood or telling a story, design enriches your audience's experiences, speaking to the imagination. Many of our clients create hand-crafted products intended for personal moments of respite and growth. Your designs should provoke inspiration, cultivating the best atmosphere for appreciating your product.

One of the most fun directives as a designer is when you're asked to evoke a particular era. The challenge here is creating a design that evokes, say, the Deco era of Portuguese Africa, at the same time that it feels distinctly fresh, unmistakably a product of today.

We understand how subtle choices in color, framing, and typography can tie your brand identity to the nostalgic past without creating a full-blown pastiche. Sometimes a little bit goes a long way. We know how to turn the dial up or down, creating a mood that is as strong or subtle as you want it to be.
