Poll workers are superheroes of democracy. And theyโ€™re in short supply. ๐Ÿ—ณ๏ธ

Over 770,000 people served as poll workers during the last general election but nearly half of local election offices still say finding enough volunteers is a struggle. (US EACโ€™s 2024 EAVS).

This , you could help fill that gap.

Swipe through to see what the role actually looks like and how simple it is to sign up with Power the Polls- they have you covered for everything you need to get started in your community! ๐ŸŽ‰

One week from today is in the US, a day dedicated to recruiting the people who keep our elections running smoothly and help our neighbors vote. And this year, there's more than one way to get involved:

Curious about working the polls yourself? Now's a great time to learn what the role actually looks like (requirements, training, pay, eligibility) before you commit.

Or, know some folks who'd be great at it? Share the need with your community (a post, an email, a mention at your next meeting) and point them to Power the Polls, where signing up takes just a few minutes: https://bit.ly/45AKxxb

However you get involved, you've got one week to get the ball rolling!

You worked hard for that RSVP list. Then event day comes and half (or more ๐Ÿ˜…) of them don't show up.

That gap is fixable. And it starts before people even get the invite.

Join Senior Customer Success Manager Michael O'Neil as he breaks down why RSVPs turn into no-shows, and what you can do about it, from pre-event reminders to catching drop-off in real time.

You'll walk away knowing how to:
๐Ÿ”น Build social accountability into your RSVP flow
๐Ÿ”น Automate reminders without losing the personal touch
๐Ÿ”น Catch drop-off in real time, while there's still time to act
๐Ÿ”น Turn attendance data into sharper targeting for your next event

๐Ÿ“… Wednesday, August 12th, at 4 PM GMT | 12 PM EDT | 9 AM PDT

Michael brings 20+ years in politics, organizing, and communications to this workshop, including a decade as a NationBuilder customer building campaigns from local races to nationwide movements. He's been on the receiving end of this exact challenge, and knows what it takes to solve it. You won't want to miss it!

Your team can generate twenty versions of a newsletter before lunch now. So why does it still take just as long to get one out the door? ๐Ÿ˜…

One thing many advocacy orgs are learning the hard way is knowing exactly which tasks AI should take the lead on, and where your team still needs to steer, so you can move faster without losing what makes your campaign yours (the mission, the voice, the supporters who show up because of both).

Our very own Line Kristensen spent 7 years in political campaigning, learning firsthand why campaigns win or lose. Now she's turning that same eye toward how advocacy teams are using AI and sharing what's actually making a difference.

๐Ÿ’ก Her take: AI is only as good as the strategy behind it. What it can do is help you execute a clear strategy faster, if you guide the tool instead of letting it guide you.

There are a handful of places where that distinction matters most, from how you personalize outreach to what you let AI automate. Check out Line's full guide where she walks through how to put this into practice:

Practical ways advocacy teams can use AI to work smarter, without losing their voice, strategy, or human judgment.

If you're running a 2026 municipal campaign, that means you're doing a dozen jobs at once, on a timeline that never feels long enough. The last thing you want this close to Election Day is a dropped ball.

Our Municipal Campaign Essentials Checklist keeps your core tasks all in one place. It's a step-by-step guide to keep track of all that this final stretch demands (things like canvassing, phone banking, GOTV outreach). It includes a built-in progress bar to keep your team on track all the way through Election Day. It might even surface a task or two you haven't thought of yet.

And if you're just getting started, or thinking about running in 2027, the checklist also covers filing your candidacy, legal foundations, fundraising, team-building, and messaging essentials.

Wherever you are in the race, your next step is already mapped out. Grab your free copy here:

Two of our latest updates make personalized fundraising faster to build and easier to send ๐ŸŽ‰

Now you can send outreach that reflects who someone is to your organization, with smart fields. Personalize messages by inserting first names, donation history, membership status, precinct, and more right in your text messages. No more writing a separate text for every segment.

And when it's time to ask for a gift, you don't have to guess the amount. A new smart field calculates each supporter's next donation ask based on their last gift. It drops the ask right into your message or email with a ready-to-go donation link.

Every ask reflects a real relationship, not a mass appeal. That's what keeps people showing up, again and again.

Curious how it works? We break it down on our blog:

Personalize text blasts and emails with supporter data and automatically calculate the right donation ask for each contact.

Getting someone to show up once for your organization is easy. Turning that into a lasting relationship takes real strategy, and most organizations are still trying to figure out how. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

But on July 22nd, we're bringing together cross-sector, global leaders with backgrounds in politics, student advocacy, and customer and community programs to share what's actually kept supporters coming back (and what hasn't).

Join us for the "Strategy Swap", Wednesday, July 22nd | 4 PM GMT / 12 PM EDT / 9 AM PDT

Featuring:
๐ŸŽ™๏ธ Gwen Camp, Political Director at EveryLibrary (US)
๐ŸŽ™๏ธ Joe Atkinson, Communications & Campaigns Manager at National Union of Students (UK)

We see your future... and itโ€™s looking good ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ“ˆ

Visual description:

There are four emojis to choose from, each tied to a color, inviting you to pick one and follow through the post.

๐Ÿค = blue ๐Ÿ”ฅ = yellow ๐Ÿคฉ = green ๐ŸŽ‰ = red

Did you pick yours? Each line takes its own path twisting, doubling back, crossing the others before landing on its reveal.

๐Ÿค/Blue is the first to land: Your total supporters are growing from June to September.

๐Ÿคฉ/Green lands next: Your total donors climbing, including new gifts.

๐ŸŽ‰/Red lands after that: Youโ€™re seeing more emails opened and a higher conversion rate.

๐Ÿ”ฅ/Yellow lands last: Youโ€™ve recruited more RSVPs, more hands going up every day.

Do you think we call it? Let us know what growth youโ€™re about to see this quarter!

Can political campaigns win on a paid ad budget under $300?

Digital strategist Josh Klemons has seen it happen: ads that reach voters before the door-knockers do, so attack ads later in the race have less to land on.

Can voters tell the difference between AI-generated content and the real thing?

A January 2026 Carnegie Endowment for International Peace survey found that only 8% of California voters say they can.

Are small-dollar donors more impactful than a handful of large ones?

In New York City, a matching-funds program made small donations go further, without relying on bigger checks to make up the difference.

These are just a few lessons that stuck with us, hearing from the political experts, strategists, and organizers at Netroots Nation 2026.

Check out the full recap here:

Field-tested campaign strategy from experts in storytelling, digital organizing, and campaign finance.

Most email problems get diagnosed at the send. But what if they started at the signup?

Look at what's happening across the sector according to M+R Benchmarks, 2026:
- The average nonprofit loses 16% of its email list every year.
- The average fundraising email click rate is under 1%.

If your numbers are in that range, what you're experiencing is normal. But normal isn't the ceiling.

Most organizations go straight to the copy when engagement drops. And yes, quality copy matters. But it can only do so much when the real problem is who's actually on your contact list and how they got there.

Think people who never fully opted in, addresses that haven't been verified, people who signed up for something specific and are now getting blasted with all comms.

In our experience, organizers who invest in better list quality see click rates closer to 3% and unsubscribe rates 14% below the industry benchmark.

If you've ever blamed a campaign for low turnout, it's worth looking at who *actually* saw it.
