I came to this dealer off the 101 in Thousand Oaks just to poke around. I saw they had a couple of Vettes but nothing unusual. I was checking out a Mercedes SL 500 (a car no salesman in the world knows how to work the top for some reason) when the guy says hey if you want a Vette we got an Orange one. "atomic orange?" I say?? "Yup" my jaw hits the floor. Always loved that color on the . He says it's out getting washed. Nothing could have prepared me for this. A ZO6!!!??? Holy s**t. Took it for a drive and.... Forgive me if this post goes long.... What an insane car! This car still gives me nightmares. I've driven Ferrari Lamborghini the best in the biz and nothing scared me as much as this beast. You can see a video of me driving the 458 Italia on the YouTube channel and I describe how safe it feels at 100mph. This ZO6 at 80 feels like... Just a flat out heart thumping thrill ride.... It really is very VERY fast! And it is very easy to go fast. The throttle is on a hair trigger. When u press down on the gas it is like Picard just said "engage" lol. That said, you can't see out of it. The windows are too small and the nose is super long with big BIG wheel arches. So taking corners is more of an act of faith. And god help u if u go near the gas while turning. Lol scary ass machine this is. And I loved every second of it.
