I went to Lagos and came back questioning everything I thought I knew about marketing. 🇳🇬

What it taught me your business marketing needs. ✨🤏🏽

1. Offline isn’t dead
2. Word of mouth beats paid ads
3. Own a direct line to your customers
4. Meet customers where they actually are
5. Trust is the currency
6. Diversify the budget

Save this before you spend your business marketing budget. 📌

One simple step at a time. ✨

Most people build their brand backwards: logo first, clarity later. Flip it.

Answer these 6 questions before you touch Canva, your website, or your content and everything after gets easier.

This is Brand Basics #1. Save it, answer honestly, then drop your one-sentence brand in the comments:

I help [who] with [problem] through [offer]. 👇

Social media will really have you questioning skills you’ve had for YEARS. 😩

Too much information. Too much comparison. Too many people telling you how to do it.

Sometimes you just need to remember: you know more than you think you do.

Running a creative business is funny because you’re supposed to:

✨ Do the client work
✨ Create amazing designs
✨ Answer emails
✨ Handle admin
✨ Market your business
✨ Create content
✨ AND somehow remember to record yourself doing all of it. 😂

Sometimes I’m so locked into the creative process that the LAST thing I’m thinking about is pulling out my phone to document it.

But honestly… the process IS the content.

So here’s your reminder: you don’t need a perfectly staged “day in the life.” Show the screen recording. Show the messy desk. Show the before and after. Show the 2-hour project that took 47 attempts. 😂

Your audience doesn’t just want to see the finished product they want to see how you got there.

Creative business owners, be honest: do you remember to record the process, or do you finish the project and realize you got ZERO content? 👀👇🏾

You started the business…
but nobody talks about how overwhelming the beginning can feel. 😵‍💫

One minute you’re excited about your idea…and the next you’re trying to figure out logos, content, websites, marketing, emails, pricing, and social media all at the same time.

The businesses that grow the fastest usually focus on a few key things first:
✨ clarity
✨ consistency
✨ branding
✨ strategy

You do not need to master every platform overnight. You just need to build a strong foundation first.

That’s why these 4 tips matter:
✔ focus on one platform
✔ create trustworthy branding
✔ make helpful content
✔ use tools that save time

Your business does not have to be perfect to grow.
It just needs a simple direction. 💻

Save this post for later & send it to a new entrepreneur trying to build their brand online. 🚀

For my overthinkers 💭

Overthinking will have you redesigning the logo 20 times instead of posting the content that could change your business.

Your business doesn’t need perfection… it needs movement. ✨
