Sunrise morning

Saw this glowing golden orb gently floating upward along the horizon this morning

Yes — it’s a new day— for a new week

And the season is soon to change

Here’s to accepting change with a full heart

Goose Egg Park at golden hour — just blocks away from the beautiful bluffs overlooking the ocean in Santa Monica.

This quaint neighborhood park has been known to host world class martial artists including golden medalists.

Just one of many reasons it’s the perfect spot to convene and practice Qigong grounding exercises before taking a sunset Spirit Walk.

The act of grounding our bodies with the earth stabilizes our energy and helps to drain the mind of restless thought.

Once the mind is still we are present in the moment and can enjoy our current surroundings — the ocean air, the gorgeous sunset and magical, mystical time of twilight. Otherwise known as the “space between the worlds” of day and night.

Grounding is just the beginning, but an essential part of experiencing the full effects of a sunset Spirit Walk.

Join me here at Goose Egg park every Saturday evening this August to quiet your mind, tap into your body and the cosmic and earth energies available to us all as we take the time to pause from every day life and witness the magic our world has to offer.

Today was a rare occasion—

This morning I bolted out of bed around 5:00am

No alarm clock, no snooze, no nothing

Just got up

I knew today was going to be special because I was invited by friend, Chris Pan to attend one of his interactive VOMO events (short for Voice Movement)

It was at an amazing location

After the set I got to wander the grounds of a marvelous resort in Rancho Palos Verdes

Beyond the ballroom, beyond the bungalows I found a trail leading to this breathtaking cove

The photo doesn’t quite do it justice, but for a few moments i marveled at the view, soaking in the ocean air, closing my eyes and hearing the tides crashing against the stones along the shoreline

What a fantastic way to bring in the solstice

Words really can’t describe

All I know is that I want more experiences like this from now onward

New faces, new places, fresh new feelings of joy, peace and harmony
