We’re not here to even bring up the legal battle, for picking a side, or even to discuss free speech.

We’re here for one reason only. This ❗️HURTS❗️ small businesses and creators a like.

It’s an alarming title- so let us explain. Meta and Facebook seem to have this accusation every few months- year round.

Although in this case- Meta is very much denying this. They claim an agreement between two companies and granting access is a standard procedure for a collaboration. Unfortunately, we kind of have to take their word for it.

But there’s a VERY good reason as to why we don’t trust their answer. META has already paid upwards of 5 billion (yes, with a B) in fines for violating its’ users privacy rights. That’s no small ordeal, and unfortunately, the precedent has been set.

If you’re on their FREE app, you ARE the product. Most of us have come to terms with that fact.

The problem then lies when you have YOUR business running on their advertisement and data-driven app. Why would you run your community in a private Facebook group where all your users’ data is at risk?

Why would your only way of reaching your very valuable audience be here, in this app?

Major feature alert!

We are very close to finishing our live streaming feature and are too excited not to post about it today.

One of the hurdles of running an online community we keep hearing about is the pressure to generate content all the time.

We put our heads together to try and alleviate that and what we came up with was to create live streaming.

Now you can just push the go live button and notify all of your community members that you have started streaming. You can hang out and chat with everyone and even share your screen to create a cool environment for learning or sharing.

Once you are done you can send it to your content page and that stream will be viewable forever including the chat played back with the same timing that happened while you were live!

Amazing!

We want to keep making sure that is the number one place on the internet to build an online community and features like live streaming keep us at the top.

Happy Birthday to us!
Big things coming for year two!
