Creating a logo and brand identity for another creative is extra fun. Especially when they are as awesome and talented as Di Zock. Di is a landscape architect working out of Venice, CA. She plans and builds some of the most beautiful gardens you’ll ever lay eyes on.
Di’s vibe is high-end and modern, so I leaned into that and drew inspiration from some of the key elements essential to the art of landscape architecture – unity, scale, balance, simplicity, variety, emphasis, and sequence as they apply to line, form and color.
The logo’s green color palette is accented with coral and cream, for an earthy mix with a pop. A system of three duotone combos allow for endless image and background options to be used throughout visual identity items.

The Academy of Country Music not only produces the annual, live ACM Awards show, they also organize and produce all of the events that make up Party for a Cause, a collection of charitable events that take place that same weekend, surrounding and leading up to the ACM Awards. That means a LOT of production collateral needs creating.

Pride Stride Logo

Spearheaded by LA Pride, LGBTQ+ Pride organizations from across America came together to create the first-ever national “Pride Stride” Virtual Run.

The challenge for this logo was to create something evergreen and could easily be used by 30+ cities across the country. It was a pleasure making this clean, versatile and fun mark!

Payscout at VRLA

Payscout is a global payment processing provider covering six continents by connecting merchants and consumers via credit, debit, ATM, and alternative payment networks. They showcased their VR Commerce capabilities at VRLA (Virtual Reality Los Angeles), the world’s largest immersive technology festival. There, Payscout helped innovators understand the qualifications for implementing a VR Commerce strategy. They used the VRLA platform to demo virtual reality use cases for retail/etail, non-profit, sports and entertainment.
The Goal

I was asked to help create Exhibit items including booth graphics, flyers, labels for water bottles and swag including t-shirts and custom VR goggles to engage visitors in VR Commerce.

LAcarGuy Visual Identity Collateral

LAcarGUY is an automotive group with 12 dealerships, family-owned and operated by Mike Sullivan, a fixture in Southern California.

The LAcarGuy team came to me to step up their exec business card game. To create a premium look and feel, I teamed up with Aardvark Letterpress - - who put their amazing letterpress and foiling skills to work to create these luxuriously thick cards with a beautiful, natural bright white stock. These guys really pop.

And a few proposed license plate inserts. Not sure if these babies got used, but I love them!
