🚫 Fear isn’t a strategy. Preparedness is.
I see a lot of IT providers leading with fear.
“If you don’t do this, you’re going to get hacked…”
“If you don’t buy this, your business is at risk…”
I get it — the threats are real.
But personally, I’ve never liked that approach. It feels like selling an extended warranty instead of actually helping someone make a smart decision.
Truth is, I’m probably not the world’s best salesman — yet.
But I am a solid technology professional with real experience, and I try to operate with strong values behind everything I do.
I’ve seen what works… and what doesn’t.
💡 Here’s the honest truth:
Technology can be scary
There are people out there who will absolutely try to exploit it
Some of them don’t care what they destroy as long as they make a dollar
That part is real.
But here’s the part that matters most:
👉 You can’t eliminate risk completely
👉 You can reduce it and be prepared
Anyone promising 100% protection? They’re not being honest.
âś… A better way to think about IT and security:
Instead of operating from fear, focus on:
Awareness – Know where your risks are
Protection – Put reasonable safeguards in place
Preparation – Have a plan for when something goes wrong
Consistency – Keep things updated and monitored
That’s what actually makes a difference over time.
👊 My approach (simple and real):
I’m not here to scare you into buying something.
I’m here to:
Help you understand what’s actually at risk
Show you what makes sense for your business
Put practical protections in place
And make sure you’re not caught off guard
At the end of the day…
Bad things can happen in IT. That’s just reality.
But running your business in fear of it?
That’s not the answer.
Being prepared is.
