I have been collecting serial number data for Series 1928 and 1934 FRNs for several years. I have been able to determine star serial number ranges for several series. Here is star data for the Five Dollar Series 1934 Minneapolis district:

1934 LGS: I00000001* - I00048000*
1934 DGS: I00048001* - I00096000*
1934 DGS mule: I00096001* - I00216000*
1934-B: I00216001* - I00240000*
1934-C: I00240001* - I00324000*
1934-D: I00324001* - I00372000*

$5 FRN Series 1934 E04996687A DGS Non-Mule - Back plate 702. $5 Series 1934 FRNs were printed from 1934 to early 1937. At this point $5 SCs became the dominate five dollar denomination printed. When FRNs resumed printing in 1941-1942, leftover sheets from 1936-1937 without the third printing were also used. By this time, the seal color had changed from LGS to DGS, and all micro backplates had been retired. All new notes printed were DGS mules.

All FRBs had left over sheets, with sheet counts being from thousands to hundreds of thousands. Richmond $5 DGS non-mules are very rare, with notes with serial numbers within ten thousand of the pictured note being mules. The first DGS non-mule was E04992001A.

The pictured note is the only note reported for Richmond to date.

$1 Series 1935 D72920471A-4A, with a star note *04217321A replacing D72920472A.

This is from a small consecutive run found in 2017. It is very unusual to know the original notes serial number before the star note was inserted. Most star notes are removed from groups without recording the original serial number.

The signatures are applied as part of the third printing. I suspect the star note replaced a note where the signatures were applied over their titles.

This note and strap are from my note searching days. Sometimes when a bank stamp on the strap would overlap the the note, I would save both to provide a timestamp when notes were released into circulation. The following is from a half-pack of CU AE web notes, from the "First National Bank of Joliet", dated Apr 30 '93.
