Ashland, MA joins the growing list of communities that CAI provides comprehensive GIS services to. Using deeds and survey plans provided by the Town, CAI will annually update the Town’s parcel data, aligning with MassGIS standards. The updated parcel data along with all other Town GIS data layers will be hosted on CAI’s AxisGIS service. Vision CAMA data maintained by the Assessor will be uploaded to AxisGIS nightly keeping owner information current. AxisGIS is an easy to use yet robust online GIS data viewer that CAI hosts for over 570 communities, aiding departments such as Assessing, Code Enforcement, Engineering, Planning, Public Safety, Public Works and others to do their jobs more effectively and efficiently. https://www.axisgis.com/AshlandMA

Winterport, ME contracted with CAI Technologies to perform a GIS conversion of their Tax Maps and implement our online GIS platform. CAI began by first digitizing the Town’s existing Tax Maps to overlay the most currently available orthoimagery. The newly created GIS data was then updated and linked with the Town’s Trio Assessment database. Following the conversion, CAI setup and configured AxisGIS for the Town. AxisGIS is an easy to use yet powerful online mapping service developed/hosted by CAI and is currently contracted in over 570 communities. AxisGIS will make the Town’s map/GIS layers and Trio Assessment data available to Staff and the public through a powerful and searchable mapping interface. Medfield, MA recently partnered with CAI to configure a Property Tax Calculator. Like many communities, Medfield faces rising costs for education, public safety, and essential services, while revenue growth remains limited. Consequently, Medfield and other communities must often consider property tax increases.

To help residents understand the potential impact of a proposed increase, CAI leveraged the Town’s existing ArcGIS Online account to develop a simple, user-friendly Property Tax Calculator. Portsmouth, NH has partnered with CAI Technologies on a crucial infrastructure mapping project to digitize and spatially map vital data from approximately 5,000 historical Water Service Tie Cards. This project will help Portsmouth meet Federal EPA Service Line Inventory requirements.

CAI staff will review the physical Tie Cards and use "Tie Line" measurements to map the location of each water shutoff valve. Following this, the complete service line will be digitized in the City's GIS, creating segments from the public water main to the shutoff valve and from the shutoff valve to the building structure.

When available, critical attribute data, including pipe diameter and, most importantly, pipe material, will be integrated into the GIS. Accurately cataloging pipe material is essential for identifying lead service lines and ensuring compliance. By digitizing, mapping, and attributing this data, CAI is helping the City get one step closer to having a comprehensive, maintainable GIS layer vital for regulatory compliance, long-term asset management, operational efficiency, and public safety. https://www.cai-tech.com/utility-infrastructure/

Chittenden, VT selects CAI to host all of their municipal GIS data through our Online GIS service, AxisGIS. CAI has been providing mapping services including annual parcel layer maintenance to the Town for over 20 years. This data as well as other GIS layers are now available to the public and staff through this searchable interface. Users of the site will be able to access assessment information including Property Record Cards. CAI also configured a “Staff Site” which through a secure login service provides staff access to additional tools and data layers not available to the public. Woodville, ME has hired CAI to convert their hand drafted Tax Maps into our standardized geodatabase maintenance data model. Having the GIS parcel data in the CAI maintenance data model allows CAI staff to perform maintenance more efficiently and ensure data quality. Once migrated CAI shall update the GIS data using deeds and survey plans provided by the Town. Once up to date, CAI will deliver PDF and hard copy Tax Maps for the Town. Going forward CAI shall maintain the data regularly using deeds and survey plans submitted by the Town and then once annually produce new updated copies of the Tax Maps. https://www.cai-tech.com/mapping-services
