Congrats to Winrock International on announcing its new Multicultural Business Xcellerator (MBX), an initiative supported by the Walton Family Foundation to promote inclusive innovation and entrepreneurship in Arkansas. MBX will target 10 companies in its first cohort – five from Arkansas and five from outside the state. Cohort members will participate in a 16-week program based in Northwest Arkansas in 2024, where MBX will help connect companies to expert mentors, capital, and new customers, facilitating accelerated growth, expansion, and investment opportunities. Congratulations to Fayetteville medical device company Lapovations who has received a $500,000 grant from the National Science Foundation. The funding will help further commercialize its first product, AbGrab.
