Prewire Specialists, Inc., a low-voltage wiring company, was founded in 1998 by Jim Haugdahl. In 2004 Jim’s brother, Steve Haugdahl, joined the organization and brought with him years of management expertise. Today, the Haugdahl brothers share equal ownership of Prewire Specialists, Inc., Jim serves as President and Steve as CFO. The company has a fleet of 123 vehicles and 125 employees in multiple departments and support positions that form the crucial component of the company’s success.

A PLEA TO HELP OUR NEIGHBORS IN NEED: As you know we share a parking lot with the Wingspan office and have worked with them on their annual fundraiser in addition to having them as neighbors.

FROM WINGSPAN: A devastating fire broke out at a Wingspan group home in Roseville at 10 AM Thursday morning. Thanks to the training and cool-headed response by our onsite staff, Brenda and Nasu, the residents at home were delivered to safety in less than two minutes. All, including two in wheelchairs, escaped without injury; Roseville Fire Chief Tim O'Neil hailed our caregivers as heroes. Although the flames were put out within 20 minutes, the damage to the home is extensive. We are grateful to these brave women, to the Roseville Fire Department, and to our other staff and community responders who so quickly provided support including the American Red Cross and Adam Grunz, Director of Sales at Sonesta Extended Stay Suites.
As we look for a new home for the four men of Woodbridge house, they and staff will stay at a hotel. This is a very emotional time for the men, as many of their possessions are not salvageable-sports memorabilia, other treasures, pictures, clothing and other things that gave them a sense of pride and identity. In the next few days we will have more specific information about items that we need. We know we will have to completely furnish a new house. For now, cash donations will help most. Here are some of the personal things we need to replace. Tom lost some precious sports memorabilia. Any sports items related books, clothing (L), or merchandise would be appreciated. Guy needs a radio with headphones and a TV (clothing size is L ). George (size L) would like a book bag or backpack and comic books. Chris loves baseball hats, he needs a new ipod for his memory games, and his clothing size is XL or L.

OCTOBER EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH -2738 Mike Manske

Mike was nominated for a variety of reasons over the past two months. In August Mike accepted a new position as a Lead and has fully embraced his new role. Mike comes in early to help with the morning rush, he helps scan the parking lot for safety vests to make sure all technicians are following safety policies and he helps mentor new techs when he can. Mike puts out solid numbers and has led his team to new heights of quality as well. Mike goes where he’s needed throughout the day to ensure coverage for all the install departments, leading by his good example.
To quote one of the employees who nominated him, “I can’t say that it’s one big thing that Mike is getting right, it is a lot of little things he gets done that add up to him hitting the mark.”
Please take the time to recognize Mike for his efforts and dedication to his position at Prewire.

On rare occasions Prewire techs will show up for an appointment and find no one home. Finding Chucky in the window was an ominous sign for one tech! It led to short, funny messages about whether or not Chucky was the real customer. No back-up assistance was offered for this call.
Good news: Chucky does not have internet. Bad news: He's out there and Halloween is coming.

On Thursday, September 17, Prewire Specialists and Comcast threw an awesome pizza party to show our techs and suppost staff how much they are appreciated. After a summer of extra days and long hours a “Pizza Bash” was in order.
The wood fired pizza was provided by Pizzeria 201 from Montgomery, MN. They have a pizzeria in Montgomery, along with their traveling wood fired pizza oven. They are the best! Pizzeria 201 did a superb job of feeding our people - 90 pizzas in 3 hours!
An even bigger THANK YOU goes out to all of our outstanding, amazing BEST TECHS EVER and the supurb support staff that makes it all work.
Thanks to everyone at Prewire for a great summer. We are moving into fall with an even bigger and better future.

We have long said that we don’t care to be the biggest company but we wanted to be the best. We try and prove that day after day, week after week, and month after month. Comcast has begun issuing a trophy for the company with the best “over all” metrics and it has landed in the Prewire Specialists trophy case. Owner Jim Haugdahl expressed his pride in the job well done and hopes all employees feel as proud as he does. It is a traveling trophy, meaning the company that wins each month gets to keep it for the month. Haugdahl told employees, “Nobody can beat us in overall numbers, not even Comcast. I expect it to never leave this building. Take pride in that, keep it where it belongs...and Thank You!“

Meet Jamie Yang, SEPTEMBER EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH!

Jamie was nominated and selected for having fantastic Midcontinent numbers and a wealth of customer compliments to back up the quality of his work.
In the past two months Jamie only had 3 follow up calls with a total of 149 installs/upgrades. He is currently at 98.67% pass rate on all QC’s from the regional Midcontinent trainer. Jamie also trained Ciprian Zota and Andrew David, who have 98.57% and 96.97% pass rates, proving Jamie is a great trainer too.
For the last 8 months Jamie has traveled to Cold Spring daily, doing whatever is necessary to take care of our Midcontinent customers. Jamie also recently passed his 5 year employment mark with Prewire Specialists, Inc. and has been a great asset to our Prewire team.

Pictured here are the two newest pieces of equipment in Prewire’s inventory. Always willing to invest in the future, Prewire Specialists has recently acquired these two fiber splicing trailers. These trailers make it possible to go on-site and splice fiber optic cables in a clean, dry and climate controlled environment. Personnel have been trained and the new trailers will be deployed next week.
