We started receiving calls around 1:00 this afternoon from clients saying they were having internet issues. We have learned that Spectrum is down ... again.

Their Chat Bot states they have an ETA of around 5:30 (thanks Duey's for that info).

Please don’t make your own patch cables. Let me say it again. Please don’t make your own patch cables.

The $1.95 to buy a new cable that has been tested and certified would have saved you two hours of testing, phone calls, outage and many more hours of aggravation.

This was between a firewall and the Spectrum NID. It worked but barely. At 100mbps and half duplex.

We tried to figure out what exactly Central States Telecom was about. It came down to something very simple.... connecting businesses to others.

We are in the business of installing voice and data networks. We connect equipment, we connect technologies but more importantly we connect people to the world around them. Whether it be a phone, a video conference, a data connection or the music playing around them, they are connected by what we do.

We would like to think that we are a part of that connection for each and every client, we consider so many of you ass our friends (both at work and away from the office). Lincoln is a small town in all reality, its people are very connected in so many aspects of their daily lives.
