Digital opportunity begins with connection.

Digital Inclusion Week is a time to recognize the organizations working every day to make internet access, technology, and digital resources more available in their communities.

For students, families, job seekers, older adults, and people accessing essential services, reliable internet can be an important connection to education, opportunity, information, and support. Schools, libraries, nonprofits, and community organizations play a critical role in helping make those connections possible.

Mobile Beacon is proud to support that work by providing eligible organizations with affordable, unlimited mobile internet that helps them reach and serve more people.

As we celebrate Digital Inclusion Week, we’re also looking ahead. “Sustain. Empower. Evolve.” reminds us that creating a brighter digital future requires ongoing collaboration and a commitment to ensuring that more people can benefit from being connected.

One Mobile Beacon hotspot connects up to 10 devices at once. That means a single Specialist walking into a drop-in site can get an entire room of students online — job applications, GED prep, course materials, all of it.

Connectivity doesn't have to be complicated. Read how JAG New Mexico built a model other youth-serving orgs can follow: mobilebeacon.org/case-study-jag/

Reliable internet can make the difference between having access to an opportunity and missing it altogether.

WestCal Academy is working to remove that barrier for apprentices across the country.

Relying on unlimited mobile data from Mobile Beacon, WestCal Academy is helping to provide 5G hotspots to support apprentices and educators while keeping connectivity costs affordable and predictable.

And for WestCal, predictable pricing makes it possible to expand its programs without connectivity costs growing out of reach.

This National Hunger Action Month, we're taking a closer look at the digital gap in rural America. While online SNAP ordering and digital pantry directories make getting healthy food easier, nearly 70% of rural food deserts lack delivery coverage entirely.

The good news? Nonprofits don't have to wait for new fiber infrastructure to bridge the gap. By using cellular-backed mobile hotspots, field teams and mobile pantries can bring benefit enrollment directly to the families who need it most.

Check out our latest article on how low-cost Mobile Beacon hotspots available through our partners at TechSoup are driving food access where it's needed most.

Andrew is 15. He works at McDonald's to help support his mom, his little sister, and his grandmother — and he's still chasing his diploma, with his sights set on the Marines.

His JAG-NM Specialist got him a laptop and a Mobile Beacon hotspot. Sometimes that's what "let's help these kids" looks like in practice.

JAG-NM Specialist Andrew Urquidez shows up at a shelter drop-in site every Tuesday. He brings his laptop — and a Mobile Beacon hotspot. By 1pm, youth are already there waiting, because they know reliable Wi-Fi will be too.

That's what connectivity for missions that matter actually looks like. 👉 mobilebeacon.org/case-study-jag/
