HDMI port replacement along with the HDMI port ceramic capacitor sometimes gets damaged or sheared off the board.
On the tip of this razor blade is the capacitor itself which is insanely small.
Make sure you hold your breath and fans are off on this one. 🤣

Schedule for the rest of the month!
The 20th I have surgery "nothing serious" then the rest of the month will be dedicated to moving to the new location on 4600 W Street.
I will be in all this coming up week and then Monday and Tuesday of the following week. If I have anything urgent for you that needs to be done please let me know I'm trying to make things priority and not have a lot to move over to the new location. Announcement! Our anniversary is here and we are moving soon! We will be relocating at the end of May to a bigger space at 4600 W St., Lincoln! (48th and Vine). Come help us celebrate our anniversary May 2nd and 3rd! We will be closed from May 26th-31st to move!

On the bench today!
PS5 controller analog stick replacement.
Most common issue with these controllers and Xbox controllers is stick drift.
Pretty straightforward repair replacing the potentiometers which control the Up, down, left and right on each stick.
These potentiometers have little metal brushes and carbon pads that wear down or get dirty over time even hair can cause them to have issues.
A great upgrade is to move to Hall Effect sensors that are magnets. Because of the type of sensors you will never have stick drift issues again still could have problems with cracking and breaking because of plastic and metal but are much more reliable and accurate.
