07/16/2026

This weekend is all about exploring the high-reward world of digital contesting—the perfect entry point for curious operators!

Two major events are running simultaneously to give you the ultimate digital weekend:

📊 North American QSO Party (RTTY)
The Setup: 100W low-power limit keeps the playing field perfectly level.
The Experience: Relaxed, 12-hour format on HF. Perfect for small stations and wire antennas to work the continent.
⚡ CQWW VHF Contest (Digital)
The Setup: Focused entirely on 6 meters and 2 meters using FT8, FT4, and MSK144.
The Experience: Peak summer propagation means weak signals bounce incredible distances. Fire up WSJT-X and start hunting rare grid squares.

How to dive in:
Configure your logging software for RTTY or fire up WSJT-X, watch the exchange flow for a few minutes, and let the software handle the heavy lifting while you manage the strategy.
