NetGain Technologies Your Business Depends on IT "Creating Happy Clients through Effective Managed Service Solutions"

08/31/2026

We spent this month talking about AI adoption, cybersecurity shifts, and what's actually worth watching heading into Q3. If you've been reading along, thank you. That's not a small thing with everything competing for attention right now.

Here's the thing about educational content: it's useful up to a point, then the real value comes from a conversation specific to your business.

So if any of this has been on your mind, whether it's an AI policy, a security gap, or just wondering where you stand, we'd like to offer a no-pressure, 15-minute conversation. No pitch, no obligation. Just a chance to talk through what's relevant to your business tech.

If you'd like to grab time, send us a message or find time on our calendar here: https://hubs.la/Q04vqb670

Verify the human before acting on a threat actor's request.

David Mauro, our VP of Strategic Growth, breaks down why AI-generated phishing emails are getting harder to catch by looking "real." Threat actors are pulling from open-source intelligence to match your boss's or vendor's actual writing style, turning weeks of research into minutes.

The fix isn't spotting a fake. It's confirming the person behind the email before you act on what they're asking.

Blackjack, co****le, and Smash Bros doesn't sound like a typical Friday at the office, but that's exactly how we spent it for our employee appreciation event in our Lexington office.

Everyone had a great time playing games and competing in tournaments (that got more competitive than expected). Canes catered lunch, a coffee truck kept everyone fueled, and we handed out giveaway prizes throughout the day.

Thanks to everyone who came out. We feel lucky to have such amazing people on our team that we get to celebrate.

Special shoutout our HR team for planning such a special day!

Back-to-school season means a flood of new passwords, new apps, and inboxes packed with messages from teachers, coaches, and school offices. It's also prime time for scammers, who know families are moving fast and not always double-checking senders.

The tactics look familiar if you run a business.

Emails that look like they came from someone you trust. Login credentials reused one too many times. The habits that protect a household this fall are the same ones that protect a company: unique passwords, multi-factor authentication (MFA), a second look before you click, and a little more caution about what gets posted online.

Check out four ways to bring a more secure mindset to your business this season.

Community banks and credit unions are facing more complex threats than ever, and our VP of Strategic Growth, Zack Moscow, spent time with the professionals serving them at the KyCPA 2026 Financial Institutions Conference.

He had that opportunity to discuss cybersecurity and AI strategy with the people making day-to-day decisions that protect these institutions. Our goal was simple: help attendees walk away with a clearer picture of the AI risks and opportunities employees and clients face, and what to do about them.

Thank you to the Kentucky Society of CPAs and Kim Copas for having us!

That's a wrap on the AI Lunch & Learn Roadshow! Our team closed out an amazing series with our last stop in Chattanooga, TN. Thank you to everyone who made these events possible.

Our team went to five different cities around the mid-west providing expert insights on how to safely leverage AI in your business. We have loved getting to meet and reconnect with business leaders in each city and the opportunity to learn about their hesitations and excitement for rolling out AI in their business.

Looking forward to the next roadshow and connecting with even more members of our local business communities!

David Mauro spoke at BCTC's Fall 2025 Convocation on Friday, joining faculty and staff at their Wi******er Campus building.

He talked with the group about where AI and cybersecurity are headed for local businesses, and what that means for how organizations protect themselves going forward.
